We cannot help but feel like destitute children now. All of us are facing very deep in our heart an irreplaceable loss due to the departure of our Beloved Guru Maharaj from this material world. Barring few of the senior devotees who had nice and long association with Guru Maharaj, many of us will at least think once, how much we took it for granted the presence of that great soul amidst us (in spite of our having no qualification) but still we did not make the best of the situation and we postponed our efforts

1. To improve our lives by following his instructions (hearing / reading Srimad Bhagavatam, Bhagavad Gita and Chanting)
2. To associate with that great soul
3. To preach to others about Krsna Consciousness

Krsna came in the form of time, and swept everything away from us and left us swaying in the wind like a fallen feather of a bird. The truth is bitter but apparent. Who will drive us now for our own betterment? How are we going to make the best use of the left out time with each one of us without this powerful guiding force amidst us? The question is striking but actually in front of us today.

At this difficult moment, we must be resolute that we shall not be subject to aimless drifting away and we must stay put together under guidance from senior devotees, much the same as before, when Maharaj was behind each one of us (either directly or indirectly) and driving us towards progress in devotional service.

In Srimad Bhagavatam 10.23.32 Lord Krsna says

na preetaye ‘nuraagaaya / hy anga-sango nrnaam iha
tan mano mayi yunjaana / aciran maam avaapsyatha

"For you to remain in My bodily association would certainly not please people in this world, nor would it be the best way for you to increase your love for Me. Rather, you should fix your minds on Me, and very soon you will achieve Me."

In the purport to this verse, it is said, "Devotion and love would increase most efficiently in separation. In other words, it would be best all around if they continued to fix their minds on Lord Krsna and thus went on with the process they (devotees) had been practicing throughout their lives. The Lord and His bona fide representative, the spiritual master, expertly engage the Lord’s devotees in different types of service so that all of them can quickly return to His lotus feet."

Based on the above assurance from none other than the Supreme Lord Sri Krsna Himself, I am pretty sure that Maharaj will continue eternally to guide us, through his indelible instructions.

As HG Sajjanapriya Prabhuji put it in his fervent mail to all devotees on 25th Jan 2010 morning,

Srimad Bhagavatam 10.23.33 spoken by Lord Krishna Himself.

shravanaad darshanaad dhyaanaan / mayi bhaavo ‘nukirtanaaat
na tathaa sannikarshena / pratiyaata tato grhaan

"It is by hearing about Me, seeing My Deity Form, meditating upon Me, and chanting My names and glories that love for Me develops, not by physical proximity. Therefore please go back to your homes."

We all look forward for that day, not sure how far it is from now and after how many birth cycles, but surely one day we will get a chance to server and be with Maharaj in Lord Sri Krsna’s abode.

Yours in the service of Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudeva,
Radharamana Krsna Das,
Abu Dhabi.
